Crafting Accessible Courses with AI (and You!) Online
Have you ever watched a video with closed captions and thought, "That's not what they said"? Auto-generated captions are a great starting point, but they can't be left unedited if we want students to get correct information. The same principle applies to generative AI tools: they can jump-start accessibility in your course, but only your expertise ensures accuracy and clarity.
Join us for an interactive presentation showcasing Microsoft Copilot, NotebookLM, and other AI tools for practical course improvements and design strategies that support effective, accessible learning for all students.
Workshop Goals
-
Identify practical ways AI can support accessible and student-friendly course design.
-
Examine the strengths and limitations of AI outputs for tasks like image descriptions and content structure.
-
Assess AI-generated content for a better student experience.
