Speak so they Listen: Three Practical Rhetorical Strategies for More Engaging Lectures Online

Lectures remain an important form of direct instruction, but they don’t have to feel dense or confusing (for you or your learners). Come and learn how incorporating three practical concepts from rhetorical theory (ethos, pathos, and logos) can help you craft lectures that have greater relevance and clarity. This workshop will demonstrate how Aristotle’s “rhetorical triangle” offers a simple framework for lecture design that can make direct instruction more engaging and easier to understand.
